Holtop Air Conditioning Systems Empower Hangzhou Qiantang Smart City

With the accelerated integration of the Yangtze River Delta, there is a growing demand for high-tech, high-growth enterprises to land. In response to this demand, Hangzhou Qiantang Smart City’s 6th Building, a Grade A office building, has emerged. This office building adopts the HOLTOP intelligent and energy-efficient air conditioning system, meeting the requirements for indoor environmental comfort, cleanliness, and freshness. At the same time, the application of heat recovery technology and the integration of mechanical and electrical design empower Qiantang Smart City to be smarter and more energy-efficient.

Qiantang Smart City is located in Shangcheng District, Hangzhou City, with a total construction area of approximately 160,000 square meters. It is a key project in Shangcheng District and the “Belt and Road” headquarters base project of Qiantang Smart City. Qiantang Smart City focuses on three major industrial tracks: digital energy, digital fashion, and smart Internet of Things (IoT), achieving a magnificent transformation from a traditional industrial park to a metropolitan high-tech industrial park. This transformation is instrumental in helping Hangzhou play its role as the central city in the southern wing of the Yangtze River Delta and driving the development of the Hangzhou metropolitan area.

The office buildings in Hangzhou Qiantang Smart City are equipped with a total of 102 units of HOLTOProtary heat recovery air handling units, direct expansion air handling units, rooftop air conditioning units, and fresh air purification systems. These units are installed based on the environmental requirements and installation conditions of different areas within the office buildings. The HOLTOPair conditioning system ensures indoor air comfort and intelligent control while prioritizing energy efficiency. This effectively reduces building energy consumption and lowers operating costs.

In medium to large-sized conference rooms, guest rooms, exhibition halls, and other spacious areas, HOLTOP rooftop air conditioning units are employed. These units are designed with integrated mechanical and electrical systems, combining cooling, heating, and air handling into one unit. They occupy minimal floor space, are plug-and-play ready, and significantly reduce both construction time and initial investment costs. The units are equipped with advanced control logic, allowing the intelligent control system to operate based on relevant indoor air parameters. Once the settings are configured, the units can be easily activated with a single key press, providing rapid cooling and heating solutions to meet the environmental requirements of large spaces in the shortest time possible.

In areas with temperature and humidity regulation requirements, HOLTOP direct expansion air handling units are utilized. These units do not require supporting equipment such as water pumps or cooling towers, offering greater flexibility in installation, ease of use, and maintenance. Equipped with highly sensitive sensors, the system can accurately perceive changes in indoor temperature and humidity. It automatically adjusts the operation of the units to create a comfortable, oxygen-rich, and clean indoor air environment in office areas.

In high-rise commercial buildings, central air conditioning accounts for approximately 60% of the building’s energy consumption. Balancing the improvement of indoor air quality and comfort with air conditioning energy consumption has always been a challenging dilemma. Therefore, the energy efficiency of the air conditioning system also determines the future operating costs of buildings. Qiantang Smart City adopts HOLTOP rotary heat recovery air conditioning units, which utilize heat recovery technology to recover energy from exhaust air. This not only enhances air comfort and freshness but also reduces the energy consumption of the air conditioning system. Additionally, smaller specifications of cooling and heating units can be selected, reducing the initial investment in equipment.

In the field of air handling and heat recovery, HOLTOP has consistently maintained a leading position in the industry and has been involved in the development of multiple industry standards. In modern buildings, the use of heat recovery air conditioning systems and intelligent control has become an industry norm. Holtop’s heat recovery air conditioning systems are playing an increasingly important role in many more buildings, ensuring better air quality and more energy-efficient system operation.
