Challenges & Solutions
-
1. The hospital building plan and head counts were checked to carefully calculate the proper amount of airflow for each area.
-
2. Subject to the old hospital's limited ceiling space, the size of the ventilation units was minimized as much as possible.
-
3. In each ventilation unit, a service door is reserved for future maintenance.
Outcomes
-
1. There is fresh air all year around, people feel refreshed, and air quality rises, whereas the disease rate caused by airborne pathogen contamination largely drops.
-
2. The client can see the real-time temperature and humidity on the ventilation's control system and adjust their cooling and heating system accordingly to save electricity.
-
3. The ventilation units are mounted inside the hospital within dedicated machine rooms, allowing the hospital to have more rooms to serve patients and increase efficiency.
