Plate type heat exchangers
Total heat exchangers / Energy recovery exchangers
It is made of special-fiber papers featured by high moisture permeability, good air impermeability, excellent tear resistance, and aging resistance. When two air streams pass through the exchanger, heat is transferred, moisture transfers as well through the space between the tiny fibres of the paper. It’s suitable for areas where temperature difference is small while humidity difference is big between indoor and outdoor.
Sensible heat exchangers / Heat recovery exchangers
It is usually made of aluminum featured by high temperature transferability. It transfers only the heat, no humidity, when two air streams pass through the exchanger. It’s suitable for areas where temperature difference is big while humidity difference is small between indoor and outdoor.
Rotary type heat exchangers
When outdoor air passes through half of the wheel, return air passes simultaneously in the reverse direction through another half of the wheel. Heat exchanges between these two air streams because of their temperature differences. With the total-heat exchanger, humidity is absorbed by the hygroscopic coat and exchanges as well.
